Program Description
Join Waypoint Adventure and Camp Lakey Gap for a fun and inclusive kickball social event bringing together people with disabilities, their families, and members of our community right here in Black Mountain, North Carolina!
Camp Lakey Gap is a week-long residential camp for autistic campers, serving both children and adults, grouped together by age and assigned to different weeks. Their emphasis is on providing a recreational opportunity that otherwise would not be available to many of campers.
Together, Waypoint Adventure and Camp Lakey Gap are creating an opportunity for people of all abilities to connect and build community closer. This adventure may like stepping up to the plate, cheering on a teammate, laughing with new friends, or simply feeling like you belong.
Come participate in a friendly kickball game, enjoy pizza, learn more about future monthly Waypoint Socials, and take part in a social event that creates a low-barrier, after-hours opportunity for connection, complementing our larger adventure programs.
