Hike Description
Waypoint Adventure will be guiding an accessible hike for people with disabilities. We will be hiking The Commissary trail. This is an out-and-back hike, 2 miles. Waypoint Adventure has a variety of off-road hiking wheel chairs to accommodate you if needed. Once registered, we will be in touch to discuss specific needs and accommodations.
Cost
Cost per participant is $20. However please do not let the cost discourage you from joining us. Scholarships are available for those who need it. If a scholarship accommodation is needed, please reach out.

We will meet at the Mount Mitchell park office. Look for our green Waypoint directional signs to help you find us!
What to Bring
Accommodations and equipment can be made by special request, please email or call Waypoint at least two weeks before the date of the trip to make arrangements.
Conditions
This is a gentle downward sloping trail in a wooded area with a wide trail varying in terrain. There will be multiple opportunities for mountain views along the hike.
Transportation
Waypoint will not be providing transportation.
Bathrooms
There are accessible bathrooms near the parking lot.
